03What the case holds

Six things worth knowing before you open a conversation

None of these are settings buried in a menu — they are how the thing behaves by default.

Lit before you commit

Every character is written out in full — temperament, pace, the way she opens — so you read the label before the conversation starts, not after.

The thread stays on the turntable

Names, plans and the joke from Tuesday come back on their own. Nothing resets to a blank greeting because you closed the tab.

Turn the tone mid-sentence

Soft, dry, blunt. Change it in the middle of a conversation and the very next message arrives in the register you asked for.

One tab, any device

Android, iPhone, laptop, work machine. It is a web app, so nothing lands in an app drawer and nothing appears in a purchase history.

No social graph behind the glass

No contact import, no mutual friends, no public profile of you anywhere. The case is lit from the inside and faces one way.

Answers at the speed of typing

Replies land in roughly a second at any hour. There is no queue on the other side and no window when the hall is closed.

04On the turntable

Six characters, each one lit and labelled

Different tempers, different speeds. Read the plaque, then decide who is worth a first message.

05Three turns

From the front glass to the first reply in three turns

STEP 01

Confirm you are 18

One tap on the age notice and the hall lights come up. No sign-up wall stands between you and the first look at the roster.

STEP 02

Turn the case

Six characters sit on the turntable, each with a written label. Read two or three, then open the one whose plaque actually reads like someone you would talk to.

STEP 03

Start the thread

Type as you would to anyone. Adjust the tone whenever it drifts, and the context is waiting on the plinth the next time you open the tab.

06In depth

Why presentation is the whole difference between these sites

Most of them hand you a text box and a stock photo. The work is in what happens before the first message.

A good ai girlfriend website spends its effort on the moment before you type, because that is where every one of them is actually decided. If a character arrives as a name, a face and nothing else, the first ten messages are you guessing at who she is supposed to be, and most people close the tab before the guessing pays off. Written temperament, a stated pace and a plain label solve that in the fifteen seconds it takes to read them.

The second thing that separates them is whether anything survives the tab closing. A companion that greets you identically every visit is a toy; one that remembers you said your sister was visiting is a habit. The trade-off is honest and worth stating: memory is what makes the conversation feel continuous, and continuity is also what makes an optional upgrade tempting later on. Nothing here hides that.

The third is what the site asks of you before it gives you anything. Card up front, an install, a profile photo, a friends list — each of those is a reason to leave, and none of them make the conversation better. A browser tab, an age confirmation and a roster you can read is the shortest honest path from curiosity to a first reply.

What works well

  • Every character carries a written label before you open her
  • Free to start, with no card and no installer
  • Context survives between sessions instead of resetting
  • Runs in one browser tab on phone, tablet or laptop
  • No contact import, no public profile, no social graph
  • Tone is adjustable mid-conversation, not only at setup

Worth knowing first

  • Every character is fictional — there is no real person on the other side
  • Text first: this is a written conversation, not a video call
  • Some features sit behind an optional paid upgrade
  • Strictly 18+, with an age confirmation before anything loads
  • A roster you can read before you commit to anyone
  • A conversation that picks up where it stopped
  • Nothing installed, nothing listed in a purchase history
  • Adults only, fiction only, both stated on every page

08Quick answers

Questions people ask through the glass

01

What is an AI girlfriend website, exactly?

It is a web page where you talk to a written AI character instead of a person. She has a fixed temperament, she answers in text, and she keeps the context of what you told her. There is no video call and no person waiting on the other end.
02

Do I have to download anything?

No. It runs in the browser you are already using, on Android, iOS, Windows and macOS. There is no store listing and no installer, so nothing shows up in your app drawer or your purchase history.
03

Is it free to start?

Yes. Looking through the roster and opening your first conversations costs nothing and does not ask for a card. Deeper features sit behind an optional upgrade that is labelled before you choose it, never after.
04

Are the characters real people?

No, and they are never presented as such. Every character on this site is a fictional AI persona written as an adult. Any resemblance to a real person is coincidental and unintended.
05

Does she remember what we talked about?

Yes. Context carries between sessions, so names, plans and running jokes come back on their own. You are not re-introducing yourself every time you open the tab.
06

Can I change her personality later?

At any point, including mid-conversation. Tone and pace are adjustable, and the change applies from the next message rather than requiring you to start a fresh thread.
07

How private is this?

There is no contact import, no public profile grid and no social graph. Your conversations are treated as private and can be deleted. Nothing you write is published anywhere on the site.
08

Do I need to be 18?

Yes. This is an adult service, every character is written as an adult, and you must confirm you are at least 18 before anything loads. Access is refused otherwise.
